Cogent Enters Netrality Properties’ Meet Me Rooms

Cogent Communications Holdings, Inc.(CCOI), one of the largest Internet service providers in the world, has established a Point of Presence (PoP) in two Meet Me Rooms (MMRs) within the Netrality Properties portfolio: 401 North Broad in Philadelphia and 1301 Fannin in Houston. Netrality anticipates future growth and continued expansion from Cogent in 2016. The new PoPs provide Netrality’s clients, ranging from carrier to content, education, healthcare, enterprise and media companies, full access to Cogent’s portfolio of all IP services. This access in turn creates additional capacity and new interconnection possibilities between existing networks within the MMR spaces, allowing customers to continue to experience high-quality performance and network reliability.

“With Cogent entering our new MMRs at both 401 North Broad and 1301 Fannin we have added one of the biggest and strongest brand names in the IP transit business in the world,” stated Hunter Newby, JV Partner and Chief Strategy Advisor for Netrality. “This agreement is further evidence of our commitment to create the most robust and economically viable interconnection environments available in the market, as well as the growing acceptance of our overall offering in the marketplace.”

As the demand for extensive, cost effective, distributed connectivity for delivery technology continues to increase, locations such as 401 North Broad and 1301 Fannin provide a platform for network operators to access direct, reliable, and optimized services. 401 North Broad has embraced the future as a leading education, healthcare and media hub for Philadelphia, and provides a compelling solution for network operators of all types needing to connect to metro, domestic and global resources and applications. 1301 Fannin is a major hub for Network operators and for the Energy Industry. Furthermore, its proximity and network access to Mexico make it a global gateway and therefore strategic to its customer base.
