325 Hudson, a Netrality Property, the rising Carrier Hotel and Meet Me Room in New York City, welcomes its newest carrier, ZenFi Networks Inc.,New York’s premier provider of dedicated dark fiber networks for mobile fronthaul, backhaul, and wavelength connectivity. By extending ZenFi’s purpose-built dark fiber network to 325 Hudson, wireless providers who leverage the network for fronthaul and backhaul connectivity gain access to a confluence point where wireless networks can easily interconnect.
ZenFi’s purpose-built network leverages a neighborhood network and colocation infrastructure model specifically designed to support the wireless service provider requirement for densification – bringing more small cells, in-building and outdoor Distributed Antenna System (DAS) remotes, Remote Radio Heads (RRHs), macro sites and Wi-Fi access points closer to the user. Through their unique service solutions and custom fiber connectivity between these sites and the New York Metro Area’s Carrier Hotel facilities, including 325 Hudson, ZenFi’s solutions enable the Internet of Things (IoT) from nearly anywhere on any device.
“ZenFi pulled two 864 count fiber cables into our Meet Me Room (MMR) specifically to serve the needs of wireless providers who require direct connectivity to traditional wireline service providers,” states John A. Danko, director of business development for 325 Hudson. “By selecting 325 Hudson as a key confluence point for these diverse solutions to meet and interconnect, ZenFi’s fronthaul and backhaul fiber will provide various types of service providers a powerful option for streamlining network solutions that rely on the Internet.”
“New York City has one of the highest concentrations of both mobile and fixed broadband users in the U.S.,” comments Ray La Chance, CEO of ZenFi Networks, Inc. “By providing the much needed communications infrastructure that connects the towers to the base stations to the carrier hotels that house fixed wireline networks, we are ensuring the most direct and reliable route for mobile networks and the growing data they carry to access the Internet.”
